Jurgen Borg on trial with Coventry City

On Wednesday 13th January 2010 Jurgen flew to Coventry to start a 4 day trial with the Championship Club. The invitation was possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Floriana Nursery Committee which made this trial possible.

The good relation which Floriana Youth Nursery has with two major clubs in England opened the door for Jurgen to show off his skills with the possibility of earning a two-year scholarship with the England Club.

During his 4 day stay at Coventry, Jurgen trained with the senior team goalkeeper's coach, Steve Ogrizovic, an ex-keeper of Liverpool and Coventry.

Also Jurgen had the opportunity to train with the U/18's squad and also played against Aston Villa.

Jurgen, 15, is a Floriana FC product and represent Malta in the U/17 category.

We wish Jurgen luck and encourage other players to show determination and attitude, to have a similar opportunity in their career.
